Abstract
Digital learning has undergone a major transformation in recent years, so that various digital application content (apps) can now be used on mobile devices for learning foreign languages. As a result, the use of digitalized applications has gained a location- and time-independent dimension in foreign language learning. After a reflection on the historical development of e-learning is presented, the importance of learning apps for education in Turkey will be discussed. A lesson plan will be designed and shown using digitalized apps such as Mentimeter, Blogger and Kahoot. Finally, the relevance of further research in the field of mobile learning will be pointed out with the assumption that future empirical findings from practical teaching (could) contribute to various innovations on smartphones.
