Abstract

Introduction: Minimally invasive salivary gland surgery is gaining popularity, namely for its reduced morbidity rate and patient satisfaction, in comparison to more conventional salivary gland surgeries. The technique has been utilised for over two decades for diagnostic purposes and treatment of obstructive salivary glands disorders. Sialendoscopy can either be used in isolation or in conjunction with open gland surgery. At Sunderland Royal Hospital, we have been carrying out sialendoscopies since 2014 and are continually implementing reviews to improve our service.
