Abstract
Milliyetcilik fikri, 20. ve 21. yuzyillara damgasini vuran, dunyanin bircok yerinde tarihi yeniden sekillendiren, siyasi inanclarin en basarilisi ve en etkilisi olarak karsimiza cikmaktadir. Milliyetcilik ideolojisi icerisinde dilin onemli bir yere sahip oldugunu gormekteyiz. Cunku ulus-devlet olusumunda milli butunlugun saglanmasi ve ortak degerlerin olusturulmasinda dil onemli bir konuma sahiptir. Bu kisa calismada, dil ve milliyetcilik iliskisinden hareketle, dil’in etnik kimlik ve ulus insasinin olusumundaki yeri ve onemi ile milliyetcilik akimlarinda oynadigi rol genel hatlari ile incelenecek, bu baglamda dil milliyetciliginin basari ve basarisizliklari ele alinmaya calisilacaktir.
