Abstract
1. We investigated the conditions for the development of segregation in centrifugally cast austenitic stainless steels. 2. The composition of the excess phase in steel 0Kh10N20T2 was established. 3. In castings with a two-zone macrostructure the development of segregation and the formation of excess phase in the inner surface lower the plasticity and increase the possibility of defects in hot rolling. 4. Centrifugally cast stainless steels should have a one-zone macrostructure of columnar crystals.
