Abstract

In his address as President of the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers), Michael Palin highlights the centrality of geography and its study to many contemporary issues. His comments are followed by a summary of the proceedings of the RGS-IBG's 2011 Annual General Meeting.
