Abstract
This article aims to report and discuss the experience with the use of the active methodology of the operating groups withuniversitystudentsoftheLawCourseofFAESACentroUniversitário.Thetechniqueoftheoperativegroupswaschosendue to the understanding that the theme to be worked with students, the fight against gender stereotypes and violenceagainst women, presents itself as a daily challenge in social coexistence in all human spaces. Several contextualized activitieswere carried out, privileging the personalization, experimentation and whenever possible the use of technology, allowingthestudentsaspaceofprotagonisminthediscussionsandreflectionsontheproposedtheme.Theresultsdemonstratedthatthe operative groups are adequate for the discussion and approach of complex themes and multicausal social phenomena,facilitatingnotonlythelearningofconceptsbutalsopromotingchangesofattitude.
