Abstract
The relevance of the study is assessment of the need for accompanying therapy for cancer patients receiving antitumor therapy aimed prevention and/or correction of hematologic complications arising from the treatment of the main process. The originality of the study is detection of the real need for epoetin type preparations by evaluating the effectiveness of anti-anemic therapy used in real clinical practice in patients with malignant tumors. Quantitative and qualitative assessments of this process are presented with formalization of instrumental analysis of the set problems. The subject of the study is the possibility of anemia correction in real clinical practice, which are routinely used with the prescribing of iron and epoetin preparations, and the formation of clinical characteristics of patients with histologically verified cancer at any stage. The prospect of further research is the forecast for the extended use of epoetins in the treatment of cancer patients. It is expected that the use exactly these drugs with the wider application of the complex treatment methodology will contribute to reduce the number of oncological diseases in the long term.
