Abstract

Approximately one in ten women undergo pelvic reconstructive surgery during their lifetime, and almost one third have preoperative anemia. Knowledge of strategies for reduction of blood loss at vaginal surgery may optimize post-operative outcomes. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of tranexamic acid and other hemostatic agents in reduction of surgical blood loss at vaginal reconstructive surgery.
