Abstract
The socialist nature of our society is creating favorable conditions for scientific forecasting. The forecasting of scientific and technical progress and of the economy is based on systematic coping with the problems of constructing the material and technical base for a communist society on the basis of optimal use of the nation's natural and labor resources. For this, forecasts are compiled as a basis for planning. The end goal of forecasting is an exhaustive description of the situation that we shall face in the future, i.e., the construction of a general model of the future.
