Abstract

A spectrophotometric determination of I in the presence of paraaminobenzoic acid (II) has been proposed; the optical densities of the investigated solutions were measured at the absorption maxima of I and II, and their concentrations were found according to a formula. The error in the determination varies from 2.5 to 11.4% for various ratios of I and II [5]. The purpose of this work was to seek a simple method of spectrophotometric determination of I in the presence of II without preliminary separation.
