Abstract
The paper presents a new solution to the problem of increasing the spectral efficiency of a digital transmission system with discrete multi tone modulation and optimal finite signals that do not cause intersymbol interference at the outputs of narrowband filters in various channels of the modem. A new method of discrete multi tone data transmission based on two-dimensional processing of optimal finite signals observed in demodulators of a digital transmission system is proposed. The spectral-energy efficiency of the known and new modem is calculated, from which it follows that the modem developed surpasses the known modems in efficiency.
