Abstract
Many human cancer cell lines have absolute requirements for exogenous methionine, an essential amino acid.A number of researchers have attempted to exploit the methionine dependence of tumors.In this review,we will describe basic aspects of methionine restriction,and then focus on the cur- rent status of its applications in cancer therapy.
