Abstract
Angiogenesis inhibition: Metal complexes are often overlooked in the development of new drugs. However, rationally designed iridium complexes with bidentate pyridocarbazole ligands have been found to act as selective protein kinase inhibitors. Experiments in zebrafish embryos revealed impressive anti-angiogenic effects for this type of metallodrug.
