Abstract

Metagenomics, as a revolutionary technology, plays an important role in the study of environmental microbial ecosystems. Metagenomics has revolutionized our understanding of microbial communities by enabling the comprehensive analysis of genetic material directly from environmental samples. This paper reviews recent advances in metagenomics and its applications in environmental microbiology, human health, and agriculture. We highlight key methodologies, significant findings, and the potential of metagenomics to drive innovations across various scientific and practical domains.
