Abstract
Introduction: Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a disease with a poor survival rate mostly due to its discovery in late stages. Currently, beside clinical and imaging evaluation, measurement of the serum concentrations of CA125 and HE4 are the most widely used blood biomarkers for epithelial ovarian cancer, yet they lack sufficient specificity and sensitivity.
