Abstract
That vegetable consumption in Indonesian society is still low, and to increase it and foster environmental awareness, an early educational approach is needed about vegetable consumption and cultivation. The vegetable planting program for students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Banyugurgul is a concrete example of implementing this approach, through education about vegetable cultivation and practical training on planting in the school yard. This activity succeeded in attracting the enthusiasm of all students and supporting the growing trend of independence and environmental awareness among the younger generation.
