Abstract
The next generations of modern headlamp systems will provide new light functions which will significantly improve road illumination. This article by Hella and the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg describes the product development process at Hella as well as the application of simulation for the optimisation of the dynamic headlamp levelling feature, and gives a preview of the use of simulation in the development of new light functions.
