Abstract

Abstract The concentration of corrosion products and other impurities which produce undesirable radionuclides must be maintained at extremely low values in the primary coolant systems of nuclear power plants to keep the resulting radioactive dose rate below certain maximum values. In the development of purification systems for maintence of these low concentrations it is necessary to measure the concentration of the various impurities and their solubility as they exist at the primary coolant temperature. This paper describes the development of a high efficiency filter used for this purpose and gives data obtained from both radioactive and non-radioactive water systems. 4.6.5
