Abstract

The speed of the gamma-rays obtained from positron annihilation has been measured as a test of the long-term stability of a fast timing coincidence system. The value c = (2.9978 ± 0.0002)10 8 m/s has been obtained, whose precision is the best among those obtained from nuclear timing techniques.
