Abstract
The mean square amplitudes of thermal vibrations are evaluated for the molecules AsBr 3, AsI 3, SbI 3, BiBr 3, and BiI 3, and the thermodynamic functions of heat capacity, heat content, free energy and entropy are also determined for these molecules in the ideal gas state in the range 100–1500°K at one atmosphere pressure.
