Abstract

AbstractA brief description of the vibrational and structural data is given for the isotopic nitrous oxides possessing a C∞ν symmetry. Mean‐square amplitude quantities, generalized mean‐square amplitudes (mean‐square parallel amplitudes, mean‐square perpendicular amplitudes and mean cross products) and mean amplitudes of vibration for the room temperature have been evaluated by the Cyvin's method. Bastiansen‐Morino shrinkage effect has been calculated at this temperature. Molar thermodynamic functions have also been calculated for all the isotopic species assuming a rigid rotator, harmonic oscillator model for the temperature range 100‐2000° K.
