Abstract

A comparison between the medieval revival of tragedy and some contemporary experiences,, before and after the chronological area in which it becomes a normative literary genre, tries to detect some characteristic features, taking as reference bands the theory of Rene Girard and Walter Benjamin's essay on destiny and character.
