Abstract

BackgroundThe paper presents a two-fluid approach to modeling turbulent compressible flow. This study is an expansion of the two-fluid turbulence model. MethodsA mathematical model of turbulent compressible heat is constructed. The mathematical model of turbulence obtained is used to study the flow around a flat plate, the propagation of a hot and cold supersonic jets and high-speed mixing layer. To validate the model, the numerical results were compared with known experimental data. Significant findingsThe results obtained showed that the developed two-fluid model describes a turbulent compressible flow with good accuracy and versatility.
