Abstract

There's nothing more frustrating than hearing someone say "I didn't know the IT department offered that?!?" when its after the fact or they're getting ready to graduate or leave. Or someone comments on an anonymous survey "I wish the IT department had a service that allowed us to do this" when you already do and don't have a person to follow-up with. Marketing is always a challenge, especially when you are working with a limited or in some cases non-existent budget. Whether it's promoting the IT service desk, site licensing, training program or even a new tool or service, you want to make sure you get the word out to the users who need to know so they use the service and help you spread the word throughout campus.
