Abstract

this study is based on an innovative framework where the internal development of temptation is deeply analyzed through the functions of the will so as to provide a blueprint for an effective obstruction of the temptation process. Our methodological approach finds its foundation in the analysis of the three temptations of Jesus, as presented in the bible. In order to achieve our goal, we tried to show that the will is free before entering into the debate of strength and weakness of will. We, therefore, rationalized freedom of will through quantum physics only to move to our next step that analyzes the performances of strength and weakness of will. Moreover, through the usage of the self-determination theory, we performed a psychological analysis that has helped us decipher the mechanisms of the process of temptation. Based on our findings, we then formulated our final analysis by relying on the three temptations of Jesus, which provided us with a constructive rationale for the interpretation of the basic human vulnerabilities and their relations to the basic psychological needs and the approach to address them
