Abstract

The magnetic material associated with an external magnetic field change in an adiabatic process is defined as the magnetocaloric effect (MCE). Recently, a large magnetic entropy change has been found and intensively studied in perovskite manganites, owing to the possibility to sue these materials as active magnetic refrigerants in the magnetic refrigeration technology. Magnetic phase transition imply MCE significant performance which is most first-order magnetic phase transition (FOMT) has high maximum entropy change with narrow temperature span meanwhile second-order magnetic phase transition (SOMT) vice versa Many works reported the way to transform FOMT to SOMT in mechanical milled La 0.6 Ce 0.4 Fe 11.5 Si 1.5 compound.
