Abstract

Two-electron systems consisting of two laterally or vertically coupled quantumdots (QDs) are considered. Their behaviour in external magnetic field is studied.Ground state energies and energy spectra were obtained taking into accountinterelectron interaction for a wide range of values of confining potential steepness(α), distance betweenQDs (d), and externalmagnetic field (B). The spontaneous magnetization and the singlet–triplet transformation of the QD moleculeground state controlled by the magnetic field are studied.
