Abstract

Magnetic structures in TbMn 2Si 2 were determined by measurements of magnetization and neutron diffraction. The compound has a canted ferrimagnetic structure at T < 53 K and a collinear Mn antiferromagnetic one at 65 K < T < 550 K ( t= T N ). Coexistence of ferromagnetic Tb sublattice and antiferromagnetic Mn sublattice is observed at 53 K < T < 65 K.
