This study aims to explore madrasah public relations strategies for building a positive institutional image grounded in Islamic values in the digital era. This study used a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document and digital content analysis. Data were then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results indicate that digital public relations practices at the madrasah are implemented through a structured communication system utilizing websites and social media as the primary channels. Islamic values, such as tabayyun (references), politeness of language, and publication ethics, are effectively integrated into the process of content planning, verification, and dissemination. This strategy is supported by leadership commitment, a collaborative culture among teachers and students, and adequate digital infrastructure. However, this study also identified several challenges, including limited time for administrators, variations in digital literacy, and the lack of standard procedures for managing public interactions on social media. Overall, this study confirms that integrating Islamic values into digital public relations practices not only strengthens the institution’s image but also increases public trust and credibility in the madrasah.

  • Fikratul Munawarah + 5 more

The development of information technology and social media has brought significant changes to educational practices, including in the learning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This condition demands the integration of technology that is not only oriented toward ease of access but also toward strengthening the values and goals of Islamic education. The integration of technology and social media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning becomes relevant to improve the quality of the learning process, expand learning resources, and encourage active participation of students in the digital era. However, the use of technology in religious education also presents challenges that need to be addressed to ensure they do not contradict Islamic values. Based on that context, this research aims to analyze the integration of technology and social media in Islamic Religious Education and identify the accompanying opportunities and challenges. This research uses a literature study method by reviewing various scientific sources related to educational technology, social media, digital literacy, and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The study results show that the integration of technology and social media can enhance students' learning motivation, activity, and understanding thru the use of digital platforms and online learning media. However, challenges such as the digital divide, low digital literacy, and the potential for media misuse still require attention. Therefore, the integration of technology in PAI learning needs to be accompanied by strengthening digital literacy, ethical guidance, and supervision based on Islamic values so that educational goals can be optimally achieved

This research stems from the urgency of the role of public relations in Islamic educational institutions, particularly madrasas, which is increasingly complex and strategic in the current digital and information era. Public relations is not only tasked with disseminating information but also with building an image, maintaining public trust, and managing effective communication between the madrasa and various stakeholders such as students, parents, teachers, and the wider community. This study aims to identify and analyze the application of ethics and professionalism in public relations at SMP Plus Darus Sholah in Jember and its impact on the institution's image and public trust. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the application of Islamic ethical values—such as shiddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), and tabligh (transparency)—in public relations practices significantly enhances the madrasa's credibility and public trust. Additionally, the professionalism of public relations officers, characterized by structured communication planning and interpersonal ethics, plays a crucial role in building a positive institutional image. However, challenges such as a lack of formal training and understanding of ethical standards remain. The implications of this study highlight the need for policy recommendations to enhance the capacity and integrity of public relations personnel in Islamic educational institutions to support their role as the forefront of institutional communication.

This paper examines the digital literacy of santri (students in Islamic boarding schools) developed within the cultural context of pesantren. In the digital era, santri are not only required to possess strong religious knowledge but also life skills to adapt to the rapidly changing times. Therefore, digital literacy in the 4.0 era becomes an essential competence they must acquire. This study explores the phenomenon of santri’s digital literacy fostered by the educational culture established in pesantren. The paper is based on an exploratory study that delves into the topic of digital media culture to varying depths. The findings reveal that the pesantren culture provides a significant opportunity to cultivate a culture of digital media literacy among students. The guidance and direction provided by Islamic boarding schools play a crucial role in strengthening students’ digital attitudes and behaviors, regardless of their location. The commitment of these institutions to developing students’ digital culture is of utmost importance, as the digital era is inevitable. Prohibiting students from engaging with the digital world is not a wise choice; instead, guiding students to develop a discerning and proficient use of digital media in content production can provide a more enriching digital experience within the framework of a digital culture aligned with Islamic values.
