Abstract

A 54-year-old man was transferred to our hospital for investigation of a giant mass located on the left chest wall. The mass first appeared 6 months ago and increased considerably in size during the past 3 months. The patient had moderate chest pain, irritating dry cough and dyspnea on exertion. He denied any fever, chills or night sweats. Medical history was unremarkable, and no history of tuberculosis, pyothorax or related diseases was noted. chest radiograph showed a round mass next to the heart (Figure 1, arrow).
