Abstract

Buffalo cows were treated by manual enucleation of the corpora lutea, intramuscular injection of 500 μg cloprostenol, or intravulvosubmucosal injection of 100 μg cloprostenol. Oestrus was detected by an electronic probe which measured changes in the intravaginal electrical resistance. There were no significant differences in oestrous response (87–100%) or subsequent conception (44.4–46.7%) between treatment groups.
