Abstract

ZnS single crystals were used to investigate the possibility of analyzing crystal lattice changes during plastic deformation by deconvoluting Mn2+ luminescence spectra into individual components using a normal distribution. Information about the relative changes in the number of Mn luminescence centers with different local surroundings during plastic deformation was obtained. Data about lattice changes of ZnS single crystals were obtained considering that the Mn2+ ions were evenly distributed throughout and a part of the sample bulk.
