Abstract

Effects of isosorbide with different doses, 1.5 gm/kg, 2 gm/kg, and 2.5 gm/kg of body weight, on lowering of intraocular pressure (IOP), was seen in 22 patients. There was no significant difference in the percentage and time of maximum fall of IOP and in duration of lowered state of IOP. There was a significant difference in the side reactions with different doses, maximum with 2.5 gm/kg of body weight and minimum with 1.5 gm/kg of body weight.
