Abstract

AbstractThe process of metal cluster formation has been studied in conditions of metal vapor synthesis with tertiary amines. The samples have been investigated by IR, UV‐VIS, ESR and photon correlation spectroscopy. For the first time the nature of matrix complexes of the free metal and triethylamine have been discussed in terms of donor‐acceptor properties. It has been shown that the using of triethylamine as cryomatrix leads to the formation of stable ultrafine (Mg, Mn, Cu, Na, Sm, Pb) metal particles. Key words: metal clusters, metal vapor synthesis, cryochemical synthesis, size of particles, triethylamine.
