Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of the low-level ligation of the thoracic duct to prevent postoperative chylothorax following stapled Esophago-gastraostomy at the Thoracic Apex. Methods During surgery, in the pulmonary vein plane (T8 level) , pairs of silk thread on the 7th will include thoracic duct, including fascicular organization together. Results 489cases of esophageal resection without postoperative chylothorax.Conclusion The low-level ligation of the thoracic duct is effective to prevent postoperative chylothorax following stapled Esophago-gastraostomy at the Thoracic Apex.
