Abstract

The effects of ion-motion and ion-streaming on transverse instabilities in contrastreaming magneto plasmas are investigated. The ion-streaming tends to destabilize the system by reducing the value of the critical electron streaming velocity which is required to excite this instability. The ion temperature, however, shows the stabilizing effect.
