Abstract

Electrical conductive coals were invented about a hundred years. Coals often were composed of carbon materials, solid lubricants, metals, resins and etc. The main use of coal is in electric motors. In this paper Graphite, Copper and Ferromolybdenum were used as conductive carbon material, conductive metal and auxiliary material respectively. Further, epoxy resin was used as reinforcing material. Carbon brushes with resin due to suitable properties such as low resistance, conductivity and high speed are used. In this experiment first, the mixture of all materials was molded. The electrical conductivity test, FE-SEM images, Raman spectrum, and I–V diagram were carried out. FE-SEM images indicated the rate of scattering of the main materials in the samples. In this work, the electrical resistance of the optimum sample was 0.87 Ω.
