Other major stategrown horticultural crops include sweet potatoes, potatoes, tomatoes, peaches, strawberries, hot peppers, citrus and various florist and nursery crops. Participants in the 73rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Horticultural Science to be held at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, on August 11-14, 1976 will have an opportunity to visit areas where many of these crops are produced and to visit hot pepper and sweet potato processing plants.
