Abstract

Lola Stan Builds Her Dream Home premiered at the Edmonton Fringe Festival on 13 August 1988 with the following cast: Sky Gilbert (Lola Starr); Debra Kirshenbaum (Tina Starr); Joe Colborne (Eat Me/Decorator); Steven Cumyn (Malcom Inklepoop); Les Porter (Minoola Grump); Edward Roy (Johnny Bad) and Steven Cumyn and Les Porter (Mover, Cleaners and Reporter). Edward Roy and Sky Gilbert directed; the sets and costume designer were by Leslie Frankish; the original music was composed by Cathy Nosaty and lighting was designed by Lorne Reid. The show was remounted as the inaugural production of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre’s 1988-89 season. Lola Starr Builds Her Dream Home is being produced by Live Bait Theatre in Sackville, New Brunswick for a three-week run beginning 22 June 1989. This production is directed by Randy White and features Charlie Rhindress as Lola Starr with Ann Rawley as Tina.
