Abstract

Wideband operation of a microstrip-fed slot antenna is achieved by arranging the slots in a log-periodic manner. A nine-element log-periodic microstrip slot antenna array operating in the X-band is designed using the finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD). The FDTD results are verified by measurements, and a bandwidth of about 33% is attained. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 25: 24–27, 2000.
