Abstract

“One‐third of higher education's professoriate will retire within the next ten to fifteen years, and within twenty‐five years,” according to Gabelnick et al. (1990), “the entire faculty of 700,000 will replace itself.” Today, some three generations of faculty serve in higher education leadership roles. “Millennial faculty,” as noted by Strawser (2019), “may require in many ways a new way of thinking.”
