Abstract
Three lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (LnMOFs) are constructed under mild solvothermal condition by adopting the ligand of cyclobutane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid (H2L). They are characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) and have the formula of [Ln2L3(H2O)2]n (Ln3+ = Eu3+, 1; Tb3+, 2; Gd3+, 3). 1 and 3 are fully characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), FT-IR and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Luminescence spectra, luminescence decay lifetimes and luminescence quantum yield (QY) of Eu3+ complex (1) are analyzed in detail, 1 shows relative high luminescence QY of 35.33%. Interestingly, further study indicates that 1 is a luminescence sensor for CH3OH.
