Entertainment lawyers are sometimes tempted to enter into arrangements with their clients and/or perform services for their clients which resemble traditional manager or agent functions. This short article reviews the interface between percentage fee arrangements and talent agency services and professional ethical obligations (with particular reference to the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario)).
