Abstract
Inquiries concerning any thesis title herein listed should be addressed to the school where the thesis was done, not to the Missionary Research Library. In those instances where theses have been put on microfilm, they may be ordered from University Microfilms, Inc., 313 North First Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prices may be found in Volumes 23 and 24 of Dissertation Abstracts. As a matter of policy, B.D. and M. R. E. theses are not included. For the first time, the list of dissertations and theses accepted for degrees in theological seminaries and in universities includes theses done in Catholic schools in the United States and Canada, in addition to those of Protestant schools. A total of three hundred five schools were contacted. One hundred forty-six of these schools responded, with forty-two relevant theses titles. The Missionary Research Library gratefully acknowledges the kindness of the professors, librarians, and others who so graciously replied. Most of the task of compiling this list was done by Mrs. Lucy T. Johnson, Bibliographers and Archivist for the Missionary Research Library.
