Abstract

The research paper studies whether there is any influence or linkage between the management of long-lived non-financial assets and performance of Latvian companies listed on Baltic stock exchange within the system of corporate governance. The research paper is based on the analysis of theoretical literature and research papers within the area of information provided about companies’ financial statements and the management of long-lived non-financial assets. Furthermore, the research focuses on investigation and analysis of mutual influence between the management of long-lived non-financial assets and performance of Latvian companies listed on Baltic stock exchange within the system of corporate governance. The aim of the research is to examine relationship between the management of long-lived non-financial assets and performance of Latvian companies listed on Baltic stock exchange. This research is limited to the performance of Latvian listed companies on Baltic stock exchange and research period is from year 2007 to year 2017. Results of this research might be of interest of academic researchers as well as educators and practitioners analyzing information provided in financial statements of listed companies on stock exchange as well as any other companies having significant proportion of long-lived non-financial assets from ones’ balance sheet value. Conducted research enabled to define new recommendations relating the management of long-lived non-financial assets.
