Abstract

The processes of heat transfer and drift of rarefied gas in a capillary due to velocity-selective excitation of atoms by monochromatic light have been investigated. On the basis of kinetic equation the kinetic coefficients defining surface and bulk mechanisms of light induced transfer phenomena in dependence on the Knudsen number, the ratio of the rate of radiative decay of the excited level to the frequency of intermolecular collisions and the accommodation coefficient were calculated.
