Summary
To face the increasing production of waste materials, innovative technologies for their management and valorization are urgently needed This is true for organic waste materials, due to both their strict worldwide environmental regulations as well as the increasing global demand for renewable sources of energy, chemicals, fuels, and materials.[1,2]. For these reasons, during the last few years, several strategies have been proposed for the valorization of organic wastes. It presents significant environmental issues, especially related to the end of its life.[21]
