Abstract

At the time of Libya Liberation War treatment of mass casualty incidents was a challenge for suryons in
 ya who were not trained for weaponry trauma associated with military operations, Nearby hospitals were prepared for crisis management. Combat injuries involve high-velocity shells and explosives are likely to result in injuries that are very different from those seen in civilian trauma.We aimed to do some effort to improve limb salvage to asse magnitude of injuries that will help in building up our causality and hospital care in non-military community Study
 prospective study Place and duration of study: BENGHAZI MEDICAL CENTER (BMC) from Feb 2011 till October 2011 Methodology. In the current study we analyzed profiles of 86 amputees who had war-related amputations during the Libya Liberation War from Feb 2011 till October 2011. We described the mechanism and distribution of the injury. 
 Result: High velocity gunshot landmines tars are the main causative agents Prolonged hypotension, extensive muscle
 estruction, presence of multisystem injury are the prevalent factors in all amputees.Conclusion: Emergency system and surgeon training is an important issue for conflicts and violence. A team of different specialties works together to address the continuation of treatment, social and vocational rehabilitation is highly needed.
