Abstract
Thank you for your kind words about "several" original articles in the March issue of Pediatrics. Thank you also for evidence that the Letters pages are-as we hope they will be-controversial. May I briefly consider your specific comments in order? Dr. Bumbalo's letter was sent to the author of the original article for comment on September 23, 1968. The inquiry was repeated December 10, 1968. Having received no answer to either letter, we decided upon publication of that from Dr. Bumbalo without further delay, in the hope that a response would result.
