Abstract

The doors of biodiversity The Rhone-Alpes region is situated at the confluence of the alpine, Atlantic and Mediterranean biogeographical zones. It is also the crossroads of several roads of the exile. Certain passages, as the major passes and the river valleys, indeed offer to the naturalists some exceptional sites of observation. The pass of Mont-Cenis in Savoy is one of the most interesting places to appreciate the variety of the alpine flora and detect potential immigrant animals.
